About The TY4calling Community
TY4calling.com
I started TY4calling.com (Thank You For Calling) because I’ve heard a lot of talk around the web, and in podcasts about community. How it is important to have one and how easy it is to set one up these days. I searched for a call center community and had trouble finding one. They were small and almost all of them were geared toward management and not the every day employee. So, I decided to start my own. First I planned on just a little blog. I planned to have information about call center jobs, what the job actually entails, and funny stories.
Then I started wondering if the countries with a major number of call centers would want there own page which soon became there own blog. That way I can target news and articles toward their part of the world. Next was the forum. Any community needs a forum because it is the easiest and most common way for visitors to interact with eachother. The I learned about elgg. The idea of setting up my ow facebook type site for my community was just too inviting so I created that too.
So as you can see a little idea has blossomed into a whole community. See the icons above to subscribe to our feed, join us on twitter, facebook , myspace, or linkedin. Also be sure and check the side bar for more social networks that we are a part of. Remember this is a community for past and present call center employees. It is your place to vent, share stories, improve your skills, or make plans after your call center lfe. Please tell your friends and co-workers to visit this site.
