You need a wide variety of skills to be a regular call center agent and it is even more true of a home agent.

Each company will give you different information about what you need to work from home as far as the computer and phone connections you will need.

In general you will need to setup a home office. This will give you a quiet area where you will not be interrupted while working with callers.

You will also need greater organization skills and discipline to work from home. No one is there to make sure you come back from break or to hand out extra study material to you.
